Are PbtA games stimulating cyber bullism and/or mobbing?

During this last months I had the occasion to see in some G+ communities (like gentecheg+ but not only) various players doing cyber bullism and/or mobbing against who was not playing their preferred pba game in a “pure” way.

I saw this happening not only for pbta games, but was focused mainly on pbta.

These players started to post personal insults only because someone else criticized a rule or just played with a different style (at their eyes of course).

I read death’s menaces only because someone wrote that the most important thing in a rpg is to have fun, and I saw this behaviors even started and promoted by community’s moderators.

Personally too I had bad experiences. A guy (who, I discovered later, was ironically working for an European publishing house of pbta games) started to insult me from nothing because I was not interested in his advises on how to apply a rule of Apocalypse World!

So I wonder myself why this is happening, especially because the various pbta authors promoted always a different policy.

Perhaps could be that pbtas are very fashionable now and like all fashions attract people not truly interested in RPGs but only to post on socials?

Or another reason could be related to the fact that pbtas have simple rules?

Truly I do not know. What is your opinion?
