HEW Update
I haven’t posted a play through in awhile but we are currently 6 episodes in and I wanted to give a quick update on the characters:
Henry J Husman IV, creative, has been pleased with how his marketing venture is progressing having grown the audience in six short weeks. He has two great traveling champions, The Prep and Double Barrel Daisy and a solid crew of good workers. If only he can figure out how to keep the Outlaw in line…
Outlaw Jodie Wells (anti-hero) and Double Barrel Daisy (golden boy) joined at the same time as the audience increased. HJH brought them in to feud with each other and that they did. The Outlaw, stole victory from Daisy, Breaking Kayfabe to prevent Daisy from winning the Rodeo Ranch title in the inaugural Rodeo Romp. HJH immediately stripped Outlaw of the title and went to great lengths to edit the footage to show Daisy winning the title.
Dr. Oppenheimer, the technician, is currently going through a bit of an identity crisis. He was on a rampage working stiff and legit injuring anyone he was put in the ring with, including his own partner. He is currently being accompanied to the ring by a group of ORDERlies. He thinks they’re some lame entourage but really management put them there to make sure he doesn’t gone too far over the edge.
Johnny Social, high flyer, has put on phenomonal in ring performances working with Donny Ray Boggs, but has struggled to connect with the fans on the mic. When he couldn’t capitalize on being Over, HJH decided to move him down the card in favor of rising star, The Prep.
The Prep, athelete, abandoned his partner The Doctor as soon has he found out he was legit crazy. He has since become the darling of management, really embracing HJH’s corporate vision and has been rewarded with his own Husman’s commercial and the American Classic championship.
Larry Gin is the veteran. He came back to the fed to complete his variety pack pursuit and win the eXtreme BBQ title. HJH has been happy to use Larry in multiple facets of the program but his struggle with the bottle has led to him missing segments he’s been highlighted in.
Duke Donald of Boggs (gatekeeper), formerly Donny Ray Boggs (jobber) is the newest member of King’s Court, a heel faction led by Sir Justin Tyme. Tyme is outraged he was left out of both the American Classic 4-way elimination title bout and the Rodeo Romp title bout and has vowed vengeance on the current champions. Duke Donald has been tasked with softening up the champions before Tyme can finish them off.

Question: With regards to gimmick change and the Season One gimmicks; they have listed which core gimmicks they can’t change to. What about which Season One gimmicks the Core gimmicks can’t change to?
I can see changing to Giant would having similar restrictions as changing to Monster, like Monster having similar restriction. I would think Veteran could add Clown, Provocateur and/or gatekeeper to it’s list.
Any others?

After catching up on Raw reports from last night, I’m glad I turned it off when Reigns appeared as the “mystery” partner. I holding out for a Main Event player to debut, but alas.

Question:
During a gimmick change, the player has the option to play an NPW for a week or more while their main character is undergoing a makeover. Should the player stat out the NPW for play? If so, do they ask the heat questions for the NPW before the show?

Question for clarity:
Which happens first: Audience Reset or Over move?
I’m reading it as the Over move is rolled before the episode and the audience check happens at the start of the episode. The reset would cancel the Over move if applied first. Am I interpreting this correct?
Nathan’s a modest guy, but this game is great and I have no problem shilling for him. Check it out.

As a long time campaign gamer and wrestling this mark, this was my first introduction to PbtA games. Love it and will be seeking out more of them at conventions this summer.

Hi friends,
The World Wide Wrestling Roleplaying Game will be back in stock today! This means any orders today will ship out tomorrow. As always, every book purchase includes the digital bundle (PDF, epub and all printable play aids).
Remember, the beta PDF containing ~90% of the final rules is available as a free download on the game page, if you want to try before you buy.
If you’ve had a chance to check out the game, or you’ve heard good things, now is a great time to spread the word about it. Thanks so much!
My weekly game is adding 3 new players tonight.
My weekly game is adding 3 new players tonight. I also have 3 returning players. This will be the 5th episode having crowned our first player champion last week. Tonight, with an equal number of new to returning players, does is it make sense to do a season reset?
I’m leaning yes, but was interested in what others thought.
Happy Stone Cold Day everyone!
