For US paper sized challenged fans living outside the US, the difference between using US Legal and A4 for the playbooks is notable.

After much searching, I managed to find a ream of Legal size paper here in New Zealand and wanted to show people what they looked like printed in their proper dimension? Thinking on my upcoming LA game, I came across this historical person as inspiration for an Immortal PC/NPC. Her name was Florence Lawrence and she is also known as “The First Movie Star”, “Imp Girl” and “The Girl of a Thousand Faces”.
Not only is her life an amazing read (and equally tragic is her death as she faded from fame), so much of it seemed to support the idea of the Immortal:
– there seemed a hint that she was aware she was leaving behind a legacy (the postscript in her suicide note read: “P.S. You’ve all been swell guys. Everything is yours”);
– one of her most famous role was in a movie called “Resurrection” http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0001016/;
– her grave was unmarked until 1991; and
– William Mann wrote a novel, The Biograph Girl, about her in which he blends facts with fiction, revealing that a doctor helped Lawrence fool the public into thinking she committed suicide and instead she lives at a nursing home.
Fact is stranger than fiction.

I have run Urban Shadows twice now and its been a lot of fun.
I have run Urban Shadows twice now and its been a lot of fun. However, I have noticed that the Vampire playbook almost assumes that the PC is a newly created vampire, as its last Debt question identifies another PC as being responsible for that PC becoming a vampire. In both runs, the players of Vampires have chosen to have been Vampires for quite some time (it is one of the central appeal to being a Vampire).
If this Debt question hasn’t been changed, it is possible to have it listed first and not last on the list? That might help it be asked in a more formative part of the creation of the PC concept.

For my upcoming US game, I wanted to come up with some one line threats, just to give me something to start with after the players throw in all their character threats. The process I went through was:
1. I wrote a faction in each of the four corners of a piece of paper and drew 6 lines between them.
2. I came up with a one line threat for each line that interacted with the two factions on that line.
3. I aimed for roughly 3 status quos and 3 revolutions.
When I had done I had a “Threat Net” which is flexible enough to modify and expand, as well as for dropping in the player generated threats. But it also gave me a baseline confidence that I had at least some inkling of threats that would link each PC to the other PCs if I needed them.

I have the final list of cities in Dark Streets as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Tokyo, Miami, London, Bangalore, Victorian Era Europe, and Wild West US, + 2 chosen by Marquis/Marequess Backers.
