Good morning!

My name is Eric and I do a indie RPG one shot show on twitch.tv/ericvulgaris called Once Upon A Game. Yesterday for valentines day I played a one shot of Avery’s Monsterhearts! 

Our 4 players, on the verge of their high school graduation, receive news they actually lack the credits to graduate! Their strange Guidance Counselor assigns them a group-study project for them to complete before graduation to make up the credits…. and then that’s where things start going horribly wrong.

I hope you enjoy this AP! 

I admit that I probably could have been more knowledgeable with the mechanics (looking at the NPC advantages/strings), but with hundreds of hours of story gaming and PBtA gaming, I winged it and we all enjoyed the story! This AP, if anything, is a testament to the MC reference sheet.

I played my first game of Monsterhearts last night with Kathryn Jenkins, Dom, Ven, Robin Poole and Victoria Allin, ran by Scott Dorward. It was fairly bizarre, that’s for sure.

I’m playing the Ghoul skin. Cole Harrison used to be a decent lacrosse player till he was involved in a car crash. Rumours abound said he died that night but his dad is the local chief surgeon and evidently very good at his job as he managed to stitch Cole back together.

Cole has not been the same since, dropping out of lacrosse and becoming quite withdrawn. This didn’t stop him however from lobbing a corpse up a tree to try and hide it, raining blood down on all his class-mates.

Hugely looking forward to next week to see the next episode unfold!
