I have a rules question concerning relationships that I didn’t find in the community here. If you mark a relationship and then change that relationship or drop it to create a new one, do you lose the marked status of he relationship?

For example, I have four relationships: Ragnar is somebody I don’t trust, Ragnhild is my mother, Steiner is my half-brother from another father, Niall is my fiance

If I look into my mother’s heart and ask the player “what do you intend to do?” I mark the relationship, but then next session I change my relationships and replace Ragnhild, my mother, with Mohamed the Child-Man who I find strange and silly.

What happens to the mark with my mother? Still there for purposes of getting a new move? Or gone forever?

We have been having a lot of fun with the Seidkona’s Volva rune-casting move and inspiring all sorts of wonderful norn fated events into the game. But the player of the Seidkona was wondering if we could incorporate actual runestones or runebones into the mechanics. I feel rather stumped since the Futhark have so many meanings and variations, but perhaps was thinking of coding the runes to a tag for each?

Feoh could be tagged with ‘feared’ for instance, or ‘burned’, whereas Radah could be tagged with ‘re-conciled’ or ‘relocated’, and Is could have ‘isolated’ or ‘alone’ tagged to it.

Maybe with a draw equal to a player’s wyrd that then set some precedent for the scene, like a FATE invoke or compel – narratively influencing the results of moves and the direction of the scene, rather than mechanically re-inforcing them either way.

Thoughts? Is this too much?

Hey I’d love to make new playbooks for the game… just… I think Gregor got it all covered :S Any ideas?

I considered “The Skald” and “The Earl” (inspired by “Vikings) but they just don’t fit in the “settlers” theme

Being a roleplayer for 20+ years and being a fan of Iceland (a country I fell in love with when I visited it in 2008), I bought the game based on it. I’ve bought the print+pdf edition, of course 🙂

Some quick questions 🙂

How is PDF delivered ? By eMail?

Is there a ePub/Mobi (Kindle) version? If not, would you considerer it (having some experience in eBook making, I could do it for you, fan work)?

I just got my copy today (yeeee!) and I immediately went to check the Monster, that I hadn’t seen yet.

Now I’m wondering: has anyone ever played the Monster as a gay man?
