We went to our first house show this past weekend! WWE Live Holiday Tour. It was really fun and I really, really want to go to more live events.

But my favorite part is that everyone in our audience worked together to have a good time. We cheered faces, boo-ed heels. We gasped and cringed when loud blows landed. We got excited for people we probably didn’t care much about. We stomped and clapped to revive our favorite wrestlers from their fading submissions, and our chants were appropriate and didn’t disrupt anything – they were tailored towards the performers and gave them stuff to riff on that wasn’t mean-spirited.

It was the complete opposite of watching televised wrestling, I guess I’m saying! I can’t wait to try it again.

Hey guys!

Hey guys!

Hey guys!

I’m running a game tonight, and for my Triple Threat main event, I’m considering the “two wrestlers both pin the third at the same time” trope, a la Kane VS. Undertaker VS Steve Austin. What would be a good way of handling that type of finish? I was thinking both winners are each allowed to roll their finishing moves, and then dramatically set up how they both crawl over for the pin simultaneously.

Do you think allowing both wrestlers to roll their finishing moves is a good solution, or is that too much? My worry is that one or both botch their moves and send the whole thing out the window… Which I guess is still totally fine. 🙂

Some wrestling philosophy for you: “Some wrestlers need belts, some wrestlers don’t.

Some wrestling philosophy for you: “Some wrestlers need belts, some wrestlers don’t.

Some wrestling philosophy for you: “Some wrestlers need belts, some wrestlers don’t. The Sandman does not need a belt. I can lose every night of the week and still get over more than the guy who just beat me.”

So that Clown Gimmick…was Xavier Woods supposed to make it awesome, or is that just his hair that does that?

So that Clown Gimmick…was Xavier Woods supposed to make it awesome, or is that just his hair that does that? Dude has made playing the trombone cool-ish again, not to mention the cool he has brought to jerricurls, pompadours, and, as of tonight, the damn Goobledy Gooker.

How do I know where to start a gimmick on the ladder?

How do I know where to start a gimmick on the ladder?

How do I know where to start a gimmick on the ladder? I read in the rules that it’s supposed to state it on the character sheets but it doesn’t. Can someone help me?

Who watched Survivor Series?

Who watched Survivor Series?

Who watched Survivor Series?

I don’t think it’s going into the annals of great events, but there was enough on there that I liked (in addition to the great I TOLD YOU SO I got to throw into my friends faces who didn’t believe me when I said there was 100% cash of a MITB cashin).

We watched with one non-wrestling fan friend who happened to be over, and her reactions were super interesting. What I learned:

– The Wyatt Family/Brothers of Destruction storyline is completely impenetrable, and watching old men walk slowly is boring

– Dean Ambrose looks like a real person, and is fun to watch

– Paige/Charlotte was great, and why the hell wasn’t the crowd cheering for this?

– Sheamus looks stupid

– Roman Reigns is very wet. Why is he so wet?

– Tyler Breeze and the New Day are tied for best outfits

She legit seemed to enjoy the chaos of the survivor series match, the divas match and the main event; she was totally checked out from the Wyatt/Brothers match, and she liked the entrances for Ziggler and Breeze but was on her phone most of that match too.

WCW 2000 was crazier than any game of WWWRPG. That’s because WWWRPG has to make sense

So, it seems like the new Google+ is having trouble when I post links to this community (like this one, which I could not post by entering the URL into the link field, but seems to work by putting it in the post body: https://sports.vice.com/en_us/article/a-pro-wrestling-school-in-sin-city/ )

I dunno if it’s just on my end or if other people have been trying to post stuff and getting frustrated. So far the Community layout and interface from the management side has not been working well for me, so I share your frustration.

Hopefully everything will be working better soon!
