Hi, this is Amít. Perhaps the greatest inspiration for City of Mist came from the show Marvel Entertainment’s Daredevil, the definitive street-level investigative story. Yaniv Rozenblat and I tested a lot of the game mechanics using scenarios and moments from the show (as well as from Jessica Jones). We decided to do a Daredevil character page in tribute to this gritty masterpiece. What do you think?

Has anyone ever encountered an AW hack where damage or conditions were completely narrative (you can add conditions on the fly based on what happens in the story) and yet had a significant impact on the game?
City of Mist has a cool ‘narrative damage’ system that I talk about in this video. I’d be happy to hear about other hacks that have open-ended damage or conditions systems.

No hit points, no harm, no predefined conditions… the only damage you can take in City of Mist is narrative damage, and that means pretty much anything you can think of!
