Not much time to elaborate, but my con one shot of the Spawn was the one I was the most nervous about, and it went awesome. Game went well and enjoying everyone seemed really pleased with the system.

Retooled the Golden Age villain I’m starting my Saturday morning session with to be a little bit less of a comedy act, while still retaining the Golden Age feel to him.

Also, after getting all of the advice I got, I scrapped my original half-assed motivations, moves, and condition choices, and I feel like my villains and potential villains make a lot more sense now.

The first pass of setting up the scenario felt like I was mimicking what needed to be done, but the second pass felt more like I “got” it, rather than just being cognitive of what I read.

So again, thanks all.

Hopefully all of this “getting” the game translates into me running the game well and drawing the players in to help contribute to the session at the table being awesome.

I’m running The Sprawl at a convention next week.

I’m running The Sprawl at a convention next week. I’m not new to Powered by the Apocalypse games, but I’ve never run The Sprawl before. I’ve read the book, taken notes, and sketched out a scenario, however–I wanted to get some feedback beforehand.

What rules are most likely to be forgotten or misapplied, and how much does it hurt the game when they are?

Of the elements unique to The Sprawl, what seems to be the hardest concept to get across to players, or to grasp when running the game?

When you first ran the game, what surprised you the most that you didn’t expect either from reading through the book or running other AWE games?

Thanks in advance, and wish me luck!
