Hey, you!
Hey, you! Are you going to be at PAX East this weekend? Do you want to play some World Wide Wrestling? Do you want to help me validate all the ink I used printing out these playbooks?
Then head on over to Games on Demand in the tabletop area, where I’ll be running demos at various, unknown points over the weekend! There’s no fee, just show up and ask when the next game is! It’s that easy!

Okay, I think The Bearer is about as done as I can get it without seeing the main rules text or being able to playtest it.
The last things I added were the “when the team got together” prompt and one new move: Feet On The Ground, Head In The Stars.
Are the hero and villain decks going to be available after the kickstarter, or are they exclusives?

Made some updates to The Bearer after not touching it for a few days:
Adam Goldberg suggested a move about when the Organization interferes, but it didn’t quite sit right with me. He did have a good idea, though, and it inspired me to add the move Loose Cannon for those times when you have to disobey the orders of your superior.
I added a new choice option for the Organization: Scope. Just a quick description of the Organization’s overall juristiction.
Under Powers, I combined the Super-Toughness and Armor options (because really they’re the same thing, just skinned differently) and upped the power selections to 8 by adding Force Field Projection, Ancient Magics, and Technopathy. I know those are from other playbooks, but I think they make sense here based on the inspirational material.
I’ve made a few changes to The Weilder, one of which was to rename it to The Bearer since that sounds better.

Other changes to this version:
– Changed power choice to “Flight plus two picks” as per suggestion
– Put in a note that the Artifact can be taken from you, removing your ability to use your powers or related moves.
– Nailed down what I wanted for No Instruction Manual.
– Added two new moves: Bonded and Call For Backup, the later of which is based off a suggestion by Adam Goldberg.
As always, work in progress etc. and so on.

So if custom moves get us stuff, what would a new playbook get us?

Inspired by (and with feedback from Tim Franzke ), have draft 0.2 of The Wielder. This is the character who’s found an object of some sort that not only gives them powers, but also ties them to a larger Organization with its own goals and enemies.
Feedback welcome and appreciated!
Sorry if this has been asked, but this just came up in a game and we’re a bit stumped.

Is there a way to gain Heat with someone besides cutting promos or initial Heat questions? I’m asking because my character is in an impromptu tag match, and my partner and I have +0 Heat with each other since it’s the first in-game interaction. It seems odd that there’s no way to gain Heat with your tag partner during a match as you start working together.
Was there a list somewhere that compares all the stats and basic moves across the various *World hacks?

This month’s design contest at SomethingAwful’s TradGames forum is to write a *World hack. The SA crowd has been cranking out some amazing *World content, so it’s going to be pretty cool to see what people come up with.
I’m entering, even though I probably won’t finish.
