Our RPG guild had a Christmas party a week ago. I ran World of Dungeons, inspired by the most excellent Planarch Codex.

Everyone except Aki, who doesn’t drink, ended up either fairly or very, very drunk. Nevertheless, I think I learned a few things from running World of Dungeons, Dungeon World, D&D, and improv.

(Sorry for cross-posting, if I’m in your Circles also. I’m not entirely aware of G+ etiquette. I don’t think I have enough followers to only publish this as a public post or to my Circles, but I can’t neglect them as well. G+’s publication options are a bit weird.)

This is my view on John Harper’s and Paul Riddle’s The Regiment, run by Lauri Maijala. I’ll talk a bit about my impressions of the system in its current version 2.5. The Regiment is still a work in progress; beautiful and promising, but flawed. I hope these notes will a) help the designers hone the game, b) make you interested in testing in it, and c) give you a couple of hints while playing it.
