Hey there cats and kittens!
Looking for something to do tonight?
Want to laugh at me as i try to run a demo of Apocalypse World?
Then you are in luck.
From the moment of this message until i finish a game session, i will be doing my damndest in Google Hangouts.
Sadly i did not have to forethought to blast this off earlier.
So come one, come all and watch as i do the technicolor yawn of Apocalyptica.
Are those pocket mod style character sheets?
Looks like.
I just found the picture to be a good image.
Plus everyone knows the internet runs on cats.
Ooooo, the original character mini-books! Oh how quickly we redesigned those after hand assembling and stapling the first couple dozen.
I need to track down the owner of that cat!
Want!
I think I still have a few of those! They’re not actually “official” pocket-mod, but weird double-sided cut-and-fold-and-staple deals that are, as Meguey hints, a bit of a pain in the ass to assemble.
We even tried to
bribehire our older kids to do the stapling, but after about 30, theyrevoltedwent on strike.(Looks like it’s going ok)
Jonathan Henry By the sound of it, you are new to AW? If you want to look at my notes for a demo I haven’t had a chance to run yet, let me know!
It was a really fun game. Very different from anything I have run in 20+ years of gaming. I really enjoyed how the book was written. The artwork is very complementory and creates an interesting feel for a game with no detailed fiction. I will run it again and definately take some lessons from it for my other games.
Awww, I miss the little books.
It was definitely a good time, and my first playing a *World game.
And, Meguey Baker , you kept your kids doing it until they were 30? Good job!
I was about to ask where these little playbooks came from then I read the comments about how frustrating they were to put together. I like the trifolds just fine!
