when creating new playbooks, and during the initial Hx distribution, how do you determine what gets said during the player’s turn, and what gets said during others’ turns? is there a formula or guideline for this? how am i supposed to be looking at it?

  1. What you say during your turn determines how well other people know you. They are items that reveal the character to others, leaving them easier to interfere with.

On the flip side, what you do on the other’s turns is what gives you special insight into others so you can more easily interfere with them.

Playbooks that are open and out there have more to hand out on their turn. Playbooks that are more perceptive have more to do on the turns of others.

  2. Agreed, and I’ll add: Playbooks of characters that are hard to understand and mysterious hand out penalties on their turn, and playbooks that are kind of oblivious or just not interested in others will take penalties on others’ turns.
