On the topic of Playbooks for characters from other media, it occurred to me that Archer (from the cartoon) is a good example of a Gun Lugger and Doctor Krieger is a great Savvy Head.

From now on I’m renaming “Act Under Fire” to “When you’re in the Danger Zone “.
I think that you could use the stats unmodified, and many of the Playbooks, for a modern spy game. Hardholder / holds would need to be tweaked to be agencies / organizations, but otherwise surprisingly little needs to be changed. Especially if you don’t mind a weird and wild feel, like Archer has.
And, yes, renaming of basic moves is key.
“When you’re in the Danger Zone“
“When you need total situational awareness“
I’m sorry, Sean Dunstan, this zone we’re going to be in, would you say it’s … dangerous? And how will we be getting there? By some kind of motor vehicle driving on a large road of some kind?
I want a DW-stye compendium class allowing a chemo-fueled rampage.
that move should be named TERMS OF RAMPAGEMENT
Jeremy Tidwell It’s a working title!
Sean Dunstan … did you watch Regis this morning?
Sploosh.
Whatever my sploosh equivalent is… which is I guess, “sploosh.” But with semen.
Actually, don’t you think Archer might be a Battlebabe?
Yeah, if anyone’s the gunlugger, it’s Lana.
Pam is the faceless and the dolphin puppet is her mask.
I was thinking that, but I don’t think he’s that Cool. I think he has a Move (and I think there is one in the Playbook) to use Hard instead of Cool for Acting Under Fire–possibly only in battle. Mostly he’s Hard and Hot*, with a Hard sub in for Sharp for reading battle situations.
Like, he would be shit at Moonlighting. Whereas, I think Mallory may well be an Operator with Isis as her crew / gang.
*PHRASING!
Pam is a Faceless with some Skinner moves.
