Whipped up a new one-shot relationship map to fill in; this one has two families bonded by marriage, a sister-in-law, and a lot of room for social problems.
I’d welcome suggestions for names from those who know; obviously the island of outlaws is yanked directly from the literature…

At the table I ask everyone to choose a spot on the map to add their PC, choose a playbook (no overlaps), then fill out the spots not chosen with NPCs or, if it makes sense, dead people. The one linked here centers on an upcoming wedding, and most of the drama is internal to one family in Reykholar.
Jason Morningstar , I would suggest just one change. “Borgarnes” is the name of the modern town that was established around 1850. At Saga times that region would have been know by the name of the fjord, Borgarfjörður.
Also, I can see that you are using modern Icelandic spelling for certain names (-ur), and old norse spelling for others (-r). It may be a good idea to standardize on either style.

Upcoming wedding! I was just talking with my friend Avedan Raggio (who actually teaches a class on the Sagas) about how to make this game one-shot amenable, and that was her suggestion.
Jason – would you recommend either (or neither) of these for a campaign?
Keith Stetson we did that here and it was fine but a little restrictive. Probably better to help everyone build up relationships organically and in-fill family and neighbors based on their choices.
