Anyone wanna help me by providing some feedback for The Kitsune? I’ve been working on it (and The Tengu) on and off, and need some new eyes to look it over.

Looking at Kitsunebi.  I’m thinking the “avoid trouble” is very broad and could potentially mean they “avoid trouble” for a very long scene.  Maybe some other benefit?  Although I’m having a hard time thinking of anything besides a bonus ongoing or to hold steady, which isn’t particularly interesting.

  2. Yeah. Kitsunebi (and Sunshower) are the Moves I’m least happy with. I noticed that a lot of the official Skins have a Move that allows the player to mark XP, most often when engaging in behavior that reinforces what the Skin is about. Marking XP is a big motivator, since an XP is worth so much.

    In Japanese folklore, Kitsune are capable of making orbs of ghost fire (狐火 kitsunebi means “foxfire”) that they use to lead people astray. Like Will-o-wisps. I was trying to do something with that, but I agree that the “escape cluse” is pretty broad.

    Rather than not getting caught in the danger, maybe something like “the MC will tell you how to escape the situation” or “you spot a bolthole/escape route”. Basically on a 7-9 you choose between reward and danger or saftey. Of course the person you lead astray gets left behind in either case. 😉
