Iron Edda: War of Metal and Bone is a setting for Fate Core currently being funded on Kickstarter. But the first stretch goal has just been announced. If the project hits $15,000, I will be writing my take on the setting, powered by the Apocalypse.

If you’re interested in getting an epic Norse fantasy setting, and especially if you’re a fan of multiple game systems, check out Iron Edda. There are plenty more stretch goals after me, with a lot of great names lined up.

First Stretch Goal Announced – World of Metal and Bone

Written by Paul Stefko, World of Metal and Bone will adapt the Dungeon World/Apocalypse World rules to the Iron Edda setting. As I mentioned above, this is be Paul’s take on Iron Edda. In other words: a completely new game! It will share the same themes, have holdfast generation, warrior clans, and feature the Destroyers and Bonebonded, but it will shift the setting to focus on the strengths of the Dungeon World System. This goal will be unlocked at $15,000.

Every stretch goal that follows will be unlocked in $5,000 intervals. Every stretch goal unlocked is another PDF added to the FREEHOLDER tier at no additional cost. I’ve got many things planned. When War of Metal and Bone funds, I’ll announce the two goals that follow World of Metal and Bone.

Remember that even the meanest Pen can slay the mightiest Dragon, and that the Blind can be those that truly see the most…

  1. There are not. You should contact Exploding Rogue and let them know you’re interested. And if you find any fan versions (or make your own) I’d love to see them.
