So, the different categories in the Powers Profile are just for the fictional positioning of using one’s powers, yes?

So, the different categories in the Powers Profile are just for the fictional positioning of using one’s powers, yes? If you’ve got it written down, you don’t need to Push, etc. Does this extend to the Impossible category as well? Or is that just to set an upper limit on what you can do, so as to define one’s abilities through a negative lens?

  1. Yeah, you can do a couple things with the Impossible category. First and foremost, it’s there to set a ceiling and boundaries on your powers. If you want though, it can hint at things to come after a death or retcon. At the very least you’ll want to have something there so you have an idea of what you can’t do, but if you want to hint at something in the future (like I do with my examples of Dr. Strange, Spider-Man, etc.) that’s a fun way to play it up too!
