Since The Wolf’s ability to shape-change is separate from the moves I’m wondering what everyone thinks about the idea of The Vamp using a limited shape change when invoking the Escape move? The narrative would be a shift from a bipedal human form into a running wolf/flying bat but then changing back when arriving into a new scene.

  1. Reminds me of the scene in Bram Stoker’s when Dracula walks back in the shadows and transforms into loads of rats to escape danger.

  2. I think it is all narrative.  Vamp is already strong in Blood, so the basic move should cover it.

I think it would be cool that when you Escape successfully it was in part due to the form you took rather than just running away on foot.  Some game tables may not include the shape-change mythos, but use the “really fast” vamp stuff and therefore Escape is running away on foot – in the blink of an eye.

  3. Isa Wills noted my inspiration in less than 7 minutes! 🙂 That is exactly the idea I had for a cowardly vamp trying to get away from the nasty hunter. 😉 Same narrative example could be used for The Tainted or Wizard bursting into a flock of ravens or swarm of bugs to escape the scene.
