I’m trying to figure out a motive for my Fae character in Monsterhearts. She slept with her crush’s younger brother a year or so ago. What possible motive would a teenage girl have for doing this? I feel like it should have been some twisted way to get closer to the crush, maybe. Thoughts?

Heh. She’s a teenager. Would she really need a motive? Curiosity? Loneliness? Frustration with her crush or herself? Or maybe you’re right, maybe it was a way to try to get closer to her crush or see how he’d react if he knew/knows about it, maybe it was just a thing that happened….
Opportunity to steal a token from/ set a glamour for your crush?
Seems reasonable. It gives her a way to be near her crush. She could be trying to make her crush jealous, perhaps making sure that the younger brother urges the sibling on. Could create an opportunity to “accidentally” get caught by the crush in a delicate position.
She might also find that the younger brother has some qualities of the crush that she finds attractive – physically/mentally/emotionally – and might in fact be a little confused about her own motivations.
Lol, thanks for the ideas. The crush actually did find out. Right after she had gotten the brother to Promise her that he wouldn’t tell. Shortest return on a Promise ever, lol.
I love that this game brings up these questions.
It’s not entirely uncommon for a person to hang out with someone because they fancy them, then to end up settling for the “next best thing”.
