It’s worth going out of your way to listen to Stone Cold’s interview with Triple H (or watching it if you have the WWE Network).

Very specific stuff about the difficulties of booking when Kayfabe is dead, how improv and changing things on the fly is one of the beautiful things about wrestling, and what NXT is all about (and you can hear the obvious love Hunter has for NXT).

I mean, you never know what’s a work or whatever, but to my ear it’s pretty straight-up and really, really interesting.

  1. Yeah. He just comes across (to me) as a guy who loves what he’s doing and doesn’t necessarily agree with every decision, but it’s his job to support the company, and has a very real awareness of how many different audiences they’re trying to serve.

Anyone who thinks “WWE doesn’t listen to the audience” should listen to this, I think.

Or he’s just really good at sounding reasonable!
