As a note, for the respect bit, I was thinking of a character of mine from a slightly adult BESM game who was an oni-girl that was gathering a small harem of girlfriends and tengu (who used to be human). Almost all of them felt she needed more backbone and you thus had the amusing situation where the minions routinely walked all over their “mistress” for her own best interests.
I might have overlooked it. But I did not see you mentioning the minions as a mechanical team like it is described on page 119. Maybe you could bring that mechanic in to make them work like other people’s teams do.
Also I think the team creation thing should count as a starting move. So maybe just give out two starter moves, to stay at the three described in the book.
Otherwise it looks like a charactertype we have not seen before and having hordes of minions at your disposal can do fun stuff. There has to be a balance of course between having them be useful and cool and not taking over the story.
I tried to make it so the minions couldn’t really do anything significant on their own (unless GM says plot demands). They’re basically fluff for player actions. I thought about an Ally/Team move but decided it might have been overkill. Your suggestion works well though.
I think with the playbook as it is a team move will be expected.
So that as a second mandatory. All right.
