Hi, all! Just wanted to let you know that Thrilling Powers is out!

Thrilling Powers offers you lots of inspiration for your next campaign of Worlds in Peril. This supplement features dozens of pre-made powers for you to use as presented or to tweak to your own preference. Following the powers section there’s a team of four pre-generated heroes, each with a fully-fleshed nemesis as well as an arch-villain to defeat.

A time travel-themed campaign outline gives you, the EiC, a place to start with a group of new players. This book is designed to provide enough inspiration for you to take the story in whichever direction you desire!

Thanks to the intuitive nature of the powers from Worlds in Peril, GMs of virtually any game system can use this book for their own supers game.

  1. Since you have to roll for moves I was wondering why the healing powers are limited to one condition per scene? There is always a consequence for failure so the risk of making it worse might be enough for the player not to constantly use it. Just curious what your thoughts are.

  2. Jonathon Mohon Players aren’t necessarily rolling when they’re using their powers, and when they are, it’s not necessarily about their powers. For example – if it’s Simple for Triage to heal a Minor Condition as long as he’s in physical contact with the target, then as long as he’s touching them, and the fiction allows it (they’re not on fire, there aren’t other people trying to punch him in the face while doing so, and so on – that’s what I meant when I said it’s not necessarily about their powers, just about the fictional circumstances allowing them to do so) then he simply does so – no roll needed.

You’re only rolling for powers if it’s not on your Powers Profile already, in which case the risks are built in, like you say.
