It says on a 10+ gain 1 momentum, and they start your chant, should it also say Before spending momentum?

It came up during the weekend and rolling a nine, to spend one, to get possibly 3 back seems broken.

  1. Probably the case. Although broken isn’t the b word I would use to describe it. As someone who doesn’t roll dice, I feel the momentum choices are the least fun.

  2. That sounds familiar 🙂

Momentum is a commodity of diminishing returns. Getting 2 (3) when you have zero or one is huge. When you have 5+ it is nearly meaningless (unless there is a Regal Wrangle on deck).

What do you think about changing the verbiage to on a 12+ instead of “without spending momentum”?

  3. Yeah, should be before spending Momentum. Or a “natural” 10+, if you will.

Maybe “on a 12+” should be a thing, since clever players can usually rack up 6-8 Momentum on the reg.
