  1. What I love about this is that it really was a three dimensional city. One key component I always put in my cyberpunk games is a very three dimensional feel to the city. The new Total Recall kind of grasps this concept when the dude is running on the rooftops and stuff. I like their being an “undercity” that’s not just sewers and stuff but actually the “old city” (which was itself a sprawl) that just was used as foundation and infrastructure for the “real city”.

  2. That is pretty cool… it’s like the dark underside of the bright neon-lit streets… like the slums of Blade Runner, but more crowded, more dirty.

  3. Yeah. Plus areas are probably flooded from the rising tide (if you’re costal). The undercity is my favorite place to take characters. They know not to go at night though. That’s a death sentence.

  4. A while back there was an episode of the podcast 99% Invisible about Kowloon Walled City if you want to dip your toe in the subject without paying for a book.
