Great time tonight. Had a “Raising the Barre” match, which, despite great pomp, was “a ballet barre is attached to one of the ring ropes”. (It was inspired by the ex-Ballerina Athlete).
Competitors made great use of the narrow length of board, hitting backflips off it, sliding it into opponent’s midsections, and using it for a running headscissors takedown.
What gimmick matches has everyone run lately?
Heard of two more good ones:
“Blood First” match, where pins and submissions don’t count til both competitors are bleeding;
“On on One threeway”, where you have to tag into the match as the third competitor, but you don’t have to stay in your corner, you can just patrol along the ropes.
