New favorite US tech: getting people to do things that are in their own best interests, like getting the Veteran investigating a cryptic medallion of a cult trying to summon a Big Bad Thing, or getting the Wolf to check out this warehouse that’s on his turf and potentially in danger.

I mean, hey, it just so happens that I wanted their help, but it’s nice that they would’ve wanted to do it anyway. A good bit less prone to owing Debts.

  1. It’s great, because I’m like “well, I could get the Veteran to look over this, but I’d probably owe him waitaminute he totally doesn’t want a Big Bad Nasty to get summoned in this city either!”

The best battles are the ones others fight for you. #VampLife

  2. I am suddenly reminded of my use of Rumor Mill in a Scion game.

“Hmmm. We could go hunting down all this obscure information or, hey, yeah okay this is the thing: she’s going to go around town asking questions in her obfuscating stupidity manner and use Rumor Mill.”

“That’s going to spread rumors that people are investigating this topic like wild fire.”

“Yep! Then the experts will come to us and the bad guys will come to us and some hint of what the next storyline Juri is researching for her web comic will spread and more people will check it out and more Legend! Yay!”

    ….

“By the way going to have my spider friends start setting up the webs I need for that scrying mind trap spell combo on our hotel room now.”
