As I was sharing the beta materials with a friend, I made this statement, and wanted to share it here, because I think it’s important, and I’m very happy that +Brendan Conway went this direction:

“But it has one of my favorite features that I’ve been begging for in superhero games forever: “classes” based on team role rather than power set.  Anybody can have energy blasts or be invulnerable or super-strong. The thing that makes superheroes magical is how they fit in with the other characters in their world. To me, that’s the greatest thing about these playbooks and why I’m so excited to play it.”

  1. I’ve been screaming this at anyone who would listen who was thinking about PBTA games for supers. I’m like “under no circumstances try to make moves for your powers because that’s a FOOL’S GAME and anyway Mutants & Masterminds already exists”
