  1. I am thinking of starting a play by post game on a site known as Myth Weavers soon as I just got the rules myself after pledging. I’m thinking on touching on supervillains and their parents or Doom Patrol/X-men level heroes if that interests you and/or anyone else. I’d like a team of 3-5 to test the rules.

  2. I’m on Mythweavers! Not familiar with Doom Patrol, I’ve played in X-men games before and that could work, would really like to play in a Young Justice/Teen Titans style game, I’m okay with an X-men themed game, but I would have a prferance for more DC style.

  3. Certainly! I love the AW and MH engines and have a thing for superheroes. Here are my two ideas:

Halcyon Nights: You are all children of the greatest Halcyon City has to offer. The villains, that is. The children of greats such as Korporate and Iconoclast, you are the new generation of supervillains – and boy did you think normal parents had strange requests. You had to knock out the police power grid just to get an iPhone! In this one I personally would like a Legacy, Nova, Protege, Doomed, and/or Janus. I will run with whatever you give me…and make your parents.

Outliers – Create a hero with something society tends to reject (disability, alternate gender/sexuality, race, status, looks, etc) and yet you want to make a difference, morally you can’t look away even when people without powers can do so so easily. Figure out why you save these people and why Halcyon city is worth your time. I’d love to see a Beacon, Nova, Outsider, Delinquent, and/or Transformed. I will run with whatever is given.

Do those interested have a preference of the two?

  4. I think the first one is more appealing, I recently read a webcomic that was along the same lines and it was certainly a lot of fun to read, I wouldn’t play a nova for it though, more of a Protege.

  5. One thing I’d like to ask is if the Protege could be given a move to let them use Superior to ‘directly engage’ but only with a successful ‘Been reading the files’?

  6. We now have a Protege, Perhaps a Doomed/Outsider, and a Janus of modern day villainy. Does anyone else like to get in on a max of 5 playtest? Might go six for a Beacon or Delinquent.

  7. You know, I’m not sure that I’d be able to do the Doomed justice on my first playthrough. I think I’d do better taking it as a later advancement for greater drama. The Outsider is actually set up, IMHO to work better as a hero. So many of his moves trigger when he finds himself at odds with humanity. As a villain that’s going to happen all the time. If you don’t mind, I think I’ll go for Legacy.
