I’m contemplating starting up a Play-by-Post game, probably set in NYC (but negotiable during chargen).

  1. I just type the ‘+’ followed by the start to someone’s name, and then I get prompted for users to fill. It appears to be context sensitive, so it starts with the current conversation, then to others in your circles, etc. That way every time I want to tag someone, Brion Oliver , I can do it anywhere in the reply.

Maybe it is browser/app dependent? Works for me in Chrome or from the app on my phone.

  2. Awesome! By the way I’ve been lurking on the myth weaver forum, but won’t really have time to post anything substantial till later tonight and I get on a real computer, instead of my phone.

  3. Andrew Medeiros Mark Diaz Truman I’m starting a game on a PbP forum, and not all applicants are in possession of the final published playbooks. In what manner is it permissible for me to share those with them?

I’m thinking that I would like to share a specific playbook or two with an applicant with an identified interest in that playbook. I can either do the bulk of work copy/pasting or talking conceptually, or I could share the actual playbook. I want to do what feels appropriate to the IP holders.

Is the response different for a player vs an applicant, or the the same? Thanks!

  4. Tor Droplets Understood. I wasn’t expecting this outpouring on the site itself. My apologies for asking for interest here and then directing you somewhere with a large competition for seats. I regret that I made that your first introduction to PbP.

  5. Talon Waite Hi, Talon. Sorry about the slow response. There was a Game Advertisement up on the site, with 15 people applying for 5 seats. The application process has since closed.
