I’d play it.
I like it. How do you recover strengths from a single slash? Resting?
Dirk Detweiler Leichty posted the full playbooks in PDF somewhere. IIRC there’s a rest move that allows recovering a Strength as one of the options
Nice!
Really like that direction you are going with this. The way you do the sage’s powers is the way I have been designing the Unique Thing for characters in the sci-fi fantasy game I am working on. Definitely will be watching to see where you go with this!
I like the way it builds a lot of individually unique sages.
.
Oooh, shiny!
I’m quite fond of this hack in development, as well (and I suppose the boxes system comes from my harm hack, doesn’t it?). Looking forward to seeing it develop!
Paul Taliesin What is your harm hack? Sounds interesting.
This is awesome. I like it a lot.
Also It’s interesting that the characters don’t level up, but instead get weaker everyday whenever they cross permanently a mark.
Noah Tucker it’s a harm hack for *World games (but originally for Dungeon World). I really should type it up and post it properly. I’ll do so in the next few days, and post a link here (if that’s ok with you, Dirk). It’s almost exactly the same as in this PDF, however – roll to resist harm, decide whether it is lasting or not, and cross off boxes for a bonus on the roll as a sort of “hit points”. (That’s what I wrote it for, to explain hit points to myself in a way which worked for me, and made it clear that hit points didn’t directly represent physical damage.)
This looks very cool!
New, much more complete draft.
