So I just heard from the publisher. After numerous emails, and my explaining that I didn’t buy it from them (rather through DriveThruRPG) this was the response: “I see. I’m afraid that we can only offer claims support to our publisher who hold an account with us. For the issues you have experienced, please contact the retailer where you purchased the title.” … Hallllp! 🙂
So I just heard from the publisher.
So I just heard from the publisher.
Wait. So who did you actually contact? Wasn’t drivethrurpg the one that messed up your order?
Chalice In Chains Nope, the folks who actually shipped (and published?) the book. It was their invoice in the package. The invoice actually said the package contained UW. The folks who stuck it in the mail screwed up.
Oh that explains why DTRPG didn’t have a record of the transaction number, it’s the publishing house’s number in the picture, not the retailer. At this point, I’d suggest you make a formal complaint to DTRPG with your purchase code.
Basically, you bought something from DTRPG, and they contracted the publisher to print and send the book. The publisher messed up, but they only answer to their client, DTRPG. So DTRPG has to complain that the order was not fulfilled.
Oh man. That sucks.
DTRPG already responded to my email and said they need the batch number of the book and then they can send me the correct one. Just sent it to them so it will hopefully be on its ways shortly.
The game has success with complications — but the *delivery* of the game book should not! Sheesh!
Pierre Savoie – LOL! Well-played 🙂
