I’m curious if anyone has worked on a playbook for spirits, which seems to be a Wild playbook to me.

I’m curious if anyone has worked on a playbook for spirits, which seems to be a Wild playbook to me. I’m thinking along the lines of Spectres but never having been a human. Maybe centered around moving between worlds somehow rather than being unseen. If so, I’d be interested in discussing thoughts.

  1. Neat idea! I’d probably let one of my players swap out a couple Spectre moves for Fae moves out of laziness, but I’m curious what others come up with.

  3. Ideas for Moves-

    -Probably something like Manifest

-Domain: either something like Link but for a place or a broad thing which the Spirit can affect with its will (eg: fire, earth, electricity, sadness…)

-Spiritual Gateway: Can create a portal to any plane the Spirit has been to or met a being from. Not sure if a roll is better or make it a corruption move without a roll but a select 2 out of three sort of choice and mark corruption.

-Vessel: A machine, creature, or willing person can be ritually prepared to accept you. [Like Possession but requires prep work which must be done by a physical PC or NPC and does not Mark corruption.]

Stats-Spirit is definitely a high stat. Maybe Mind also high. with blood being low.

Factions-Wild and Power definitely the high ones. Mortality being the low one.

    Intro Questions-

    Who are you?

How long have you been in the city?

How did you get to this plane?

    What’s your home plane like?

    Debts-

-Someone was instrumental in your escape. You owe them 2 debts.

-You trusted someone with an important task. Ask them if they succeed or failed. If they succeeded, you owe them a debt. If they failed they owe you two debts.

  5. Sure, maybe something more like the Vessel’s instincts. The tainted’s situation with its patron fits more as ongoing relationship they gain power from which doesn’t seem to fit, IMO.
