I’m seriously thinking this might have to be my next purchase. Can I basically replicate world of darkness but with the awesome apocalypse engine? If so this might be perfect for me.

There’s also a WoD conversion someone made, but I’m not convinced it’s necessary. Instead I find it very useful to steal a lot of the metaphysics of New World of Darkness (The Shadow Realm for starters) and apply it in US.
But, either way, yes. This is the game I always wanted WoD to be.
Yes. The main difference is that US assumes crossovers, where WoD assumes a focus on one supernatural entity.
There is a WoD adaptation for US that allows more variety for PCs of the same playbook. However, you may be comfortable with PCs of the same playbook in any case.
I second Kevin’s thoughts on this being the game I wished WoD games were.
Thanks guys. This is really helpful.
Anyone have a link to the WoD hack?
The links are all dead. I’m seeing if I can dig it up.
US is basically “WoD done right”.
Oscar Iglesias as I’m reading through it I’m getting that impression. Is it still fun though if everyone is playing vamps or werewolf or hunters? I know the book says not to but that would also feel very WoD
You can use the material as is, but a few modifications may help.
Game is prepared to mix sides, and each supernatural creature is different. If all players are vampires you lose some options, so the group could work to create different vampires and change factions to reflect your game, for example: Camarilla, Sabbat, Inconnu and Anarchs instead of Power, Night, Wild and Mortal.
Change what you need to get a game that best suites the kind of experience you’re looking for.
Oscar Iglesias indeed that is what I was thinking. Also, possibly some custom “clan moves” to represent the special powers of each clan. But I think it would be more fun to just run it as is and have people mixed. No reason a vamp can’t work with a hunter and a fae.
Clan moves are what will make each vampire different.
Anyway, i’ll try the game as is first. And only after knowing how it works i’ll go for the house ruling ^_^
Oscar Iglesias indeed. I want to run the game as is a few times first to see how it works.
You would probably want to use a different advancement mechanic as the current one has you earning advances by interacting with each of the different factions which doesn’t make a lot of sense with the WoD’s more explicitly oppositional groups of vampires or weaver-wyld-wyrm from werewolf or the similar thing in Mage, etc.
Dylan Clayton yeah I agree
John Henry that’s good feedback. Factions and debts is always how I played WoD but I can see what your saying. Honestly, I just like urban fantasy of this nature so I’m very excited to see how this game plays.
Look up my WoD add on for this game, about a 200 pages of new material for various groups.
Tommy Rayburn – I have but the ones I found the links don’t work. Do you have working links you could direct me to?
Chalice In Chains, here you go:

It is a mixture of New and World darkness. We needed to mix concepts to fit into a system that worked with the potential of multiple supernaturals working together.
Tommy Rayburn thank you sir
Btw for people just seeing that this exist, this can be played with a singular supernatural or mixed. I have run hundreds of test as all mages or all werewolves or all vampires.
Tommy Rayburn that’s really good to know. Thanks.
So I tend to need a dead tree version so I threw this into lulu. Can’t wait to get a print copy.
I have a back cover as well if you want for a print copy
Once changeling is done, I will post a final for everything where the TOCs are 100% finished as well.
