Does it break anything if I start with 2 players and we create a total of 3 corporations at first and later on there are more players that have to be tied to corporations and existing PCs? Or should the new players create new corporations and thus prevent corp clock getting too high all of a sudden?
Another question about corporations. Is there any mechanical reason not to create new corporations in the middle of the campaign? I don’t see why it should be a problem but if you see problems it would be nice to be prepared for those.
I would introduce new corporations with new players do keep the number at at least “players+1”, but this is a setting that you could tweak to the taste of the table.
I don’t think there’s a problem with introducing new corporations later, especially if you want to change up the situation.
OK, great! Thanks Hamish Cameron !
One thing relating to this came to my mind. What if there are more than players+1 corporations at the beginning of the game? I suppose it won’t break anything?
I don’t think so. The players can focus or not in their Links jobs and the MC can focus or not in determining employers and targets.
More corps beyond Players+1 means its just gonna take a bit longer for the corps to cap out and react. Which may be a pace you want to set in your game anyways. 🙂
OK, good thing! I have already determined one corporation but I have ideas for two more, so I will add them to the mix unless players come up with appropriate corporations that I can use instead.
That’s what I was thinking about Riley Crowder and hence the question. I think I can go a bit slower at first and see what corporations will get most interest and generate most promising missions and focus on those. That’s the initial plan at least.
