  1. Sounds like a fun problem to deal with. 🙂

My suggestion would be to throw time out of the window. Think of the epic silly long fights in Mad Max and go with that. I admit that I’m coming from a place of not having gone over the 2nd ed rules yet but I imagine some things remain constant.

Go around the group, starting with whoever is in the hot seat and needs answers now! Ask what they are doing to deal with it, if they need to roll then they roll, decide what that means and move onto the next.

  2. Daniel Steadman thanks for the advice. Though in the new rules they have awesome combat ideas,. I’m most interested in is it a one on one with gangs just counting on a side or is this and example of a chaotic free for all?

  3. I’d imagine that depends on how fast you want it over with. If you want to get on with the story then the gangs are just modifiers with a bit of extra narrative. If you want to explore the mayhem instead then treat the NPC’s like stolen cars, horn in on the players actions by announcing future badness as someone goes pedal to the metal and comes screaming straight at them. Reward good rolls and ideas with unexpected friendly fire on the part of the gangsters. Reward poor rolls and bad ideas with harm as established or being put in a vulnerable position.
