  1. I…don’t know if there ANY context in which to put the Final Deletion. I mean, there’s definitely a call back to the Hardy Boyz starting out in backyard wrestling, but beyond that, the closest analogue I can come up with is maybe the 1960s Batman TV show…and when Jeff Hardy is the sane, regular man of an angle, you know things have gotten weird.

I don’t want to see it all the time, or every with any frequency, but as a one-off, it’s definitely…well, you can’t say there’s anything like it, which is hard to say in an industry that’s been trying to compress Cornette’s “Seven Year Rule” of re-booking storylines into three or four years.

  2. Let me state than I am 100% in favor of this existing and more people doing weird-ass concept wrestling, I just…can’t deal with “Broken” Matt Hardy. Watching him is like chewing foil for me.

(I mean, I enjoyed the “New Day”-Letion segment on RAW, and that was objectively bad. But at least it was interesting!)

  3. I adored it. Just my favorite thing in years. I’m very comfortable insisting that Jeff isn’t really in on the joke, which is why I think it works.
