New Condition: Scattered/Disorganized?

I thought an extra condition for when you are fighting a group of similar enemies might be interesting. It gives a group of enemies a bit more power.

Now I know that part of the advantages of a group is fictional but I’d like to experiment with this. Name of course is up for debate.

I am not sure about condition moves for this yet, as it goes into the territory of other conditions as well (and that might be a reason why this is not needed).

Do you think this is something worth exploring?

  1. I think you should use whatever adjectives you want for enemy conditions; the more human, the more you should skew to the core ones. But I could see alien nobility being []Flabbergasted, []Aggrieved or [-]Dimensionally Unstable.

  2. I’ve found Insecure works really well as the “group cohesion” condition already. With condition moves like “double down on broken plans”, “follow the lead of someone else” and “doubt and question their own allies and plans”, it fits into that weakening-bonds position pretty neatly.

Adam’s point is a great one, though: since none of the mechanical villain stuff gets seen by anyone except the GM anyway, and we’re already making custom villain moves as part of prep, renaming stuff to better guide things during play or coming up with new sets of condition moves isn’t totally foreign territory, so I think anything GM-side that helps games flow better is worth taking a swing at.
