Has anyone thought how to introduce psionics, or, mental powers to the system in some way?

Has anyone thought how to introduce psionics, or, mental powers to the system in some way? The game I’m hoping to play has a character wanting to play someone with mind control, or a clairvoyant, or a telekinetic character and we were wondering if anyone had some ideas how to plug this concept into The Sprawl.

  1. Steal some moves from Apoc World’s Brainer…make them techier…and add some theme relevant failure effects.

    That wasnt me being snarky..Sprawl Hews so close to Apoc World in design, that you can steal ideas pretty much whole cloth from Apoc and make it work.

  2. We are talking about introducing psionics in our campaign as well. The Brainer would be a great starting point. I’d be curious what else you come up with.

    I think the Necropolis setting may have some tips for ‘magic’ like abilities as well (when it’s released).

  3. I’ve been looking forward to the Necropolis addition for some time. Unfortunately, it seems to be so far out … 🙁

    The Brainer is a good idea. I’ll have to see about working that into things and making a playbook or two. There may be some other options out there in the PbtA world as well.
