I was reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman, and I was thinking that it might be a good fit for this game. How would someone go about playing a mortal-bound deity character like Mr. Wednesday or Mr. Jacquel?

  1. Say “I’m a mortal-bound deity,” pick an appropriate playbook and and interpret the existing mechanics accordingly. Want to be a war or hunting deity like Artemis or Mars? Play a Hunter. Trickster, like Loki or Coyote? Probably Fae. Forgotten god with most of their power lost? Try a Veteran.

The mechanics are open enough that I don’t think you need to do anything too complicated.
