I’m looking towards running a game of Masks with the Beta PDF stuff from the Kickstarter (Unless the official PDF comes out in the next two weeks which I will throw money at like it burns my skin) and was just curious about one of the Nova Flares.
Under Constructs when you create them you can give them conditions to mark, but instead of the conditions that are listed in the playbooks there’s Broken, Stunned, Confused, Fragile and Weakened. I can’t find reference to these anywhere and I’m wondering if these are just the old condition names or if I’m missing something?
That flare’s changed since the demo sheets, but it’s still usable. There’s no rules you’re missing, I think it’s just running off the idea that the descriptive labels for non-PC conditions can be pretty fluid since they’re tied to fewer mechanics.
So if your Nova conjures a 2-burn pavement golem and sends it to tangle with a villain, it wouldn’t make any sense for the villain to make the emotionless construct Hopeless or Guilty but they can probably make it Weakened and then Broken, and you can tailor your description of the scene to those tags as the construct takes hits.
