Question about the Exhibition match: the text reads that you can only get a check once per category per match, thus you have to choose between cashing checks out for Momentum or a Finishing Move bonus, but the example of play features Lord Gray cashing out Momentum for Work and later getting a bonus to his Finishing Move with a Work check – which is correct?
If the first interpretation is true, how do people feel about a slight change where you can get checks multiple times but only cashing out once per stat per match? That way you can get both the Momentum and the FM bonus? Interested in your thoughts.
The intention is that once you cash checks out for Momentum you erase them and then you can start checking then again. I should look at the language again, eep!
Nathan Paoletta The part that confused me, to be clear, was “You only check off each Stat the first time you roll on it during the match” which reads to me you only get one check per stat per match.
So if the intention is to be able to get multiple checks per stat per match, are you supposed to be able to cash those in multiple times per match as well, or is that a once per match thing? Appreciate the help!
Oh, yeah, multiple times per match is the intention. I suppose “hardcore” mode would be just once a match, though (and thus making that choice between getting Momentum when you need it and having the bonus on the Finishing Move).
(I think that that language is an artifact of revision that didn’t get caught in editing. Whoops.)
