  1. That would unfortunately be just barely Monday mornings (as in post-midnight Sunday) for me. Best I could do would be my Saturday mornings (American Friday evenings). Most of the rest of my weekends are booked as is.

  2. Luke Green I’m hesitant to commit to Friday evenings. They’re currently free since my only class on that day is in the morning, but they’re more likely than Sunday mornings to be taken up by a job once I actually manage to find one. Thanks for the interest regardless, though!

Chirag Asnani Central standard time, GMT-6.

  3. Adam Goldberg I don’t want you to take this in an insulting fashion, because you’ve seemed like a decent guy in our interactions to date, but I’ve run enough games for you to know that our styles just don’t mesh, and I know better than to get involved in a campaign when that’s the case these days. It’s nothing personal, honestly, I’m just trying to be upfront and avoid any stress that could affect the game.

  4. I’d be all over this, since I haven’t actually played in forever, but unfortunately being from The Future makes me unconscious until around 3pm US-time.

Adjacent topic: any thoughts about rekindling Living Halcyon once the game’s finished up & released? The idea was super neat.

  5. Matt Morton If we were to rekindle that experiment, I don’t think I’d be interested in being a GM for it, though I might be interested in being a player and helping with organization. Part of the reason Living Halcyon fell apart, I realized later, is that I’m much more invested in seeing how the heroes’ personal stories and relationships evolve over time than I am in seeing how they beat the bad guys, and I just wasn’t getting the first part out of running largely-unrelated one-shots for a rotating cast of characters.

I think Masks in general is more geared towards continuous play; part of the GM agenda is “Play to find out what changes,” not what happens, plus Hooks and Arcs are more tightly focused on personal stories than Dungeon World’s Fronts are.  You can definitely do episodic Masks, but it’s not something I enjoy doing enough to do it regularly, especially now that I’ve seen what running an actual campaign is like.

Edit: back on the original topic, if US afternoon/evening time works better and there are enough folks that can do that time slot, I’d be open to it.

  6. If +Matt Morton is an Aussie then he has similar problem to me in Japan. US evening/afternoon Sunday is going to be our morning/afternoon Monday. Depending on his occupation he might be at work (I’m generally teaching or waiting to teach at that time.)

  7. I’d be very eager to join this game, if there’s space. I still feel like I’m going through Living Halcyon withdrawals. I could make Sunday work at any time.

    Let me know!

  8. All right, I’m going to go ahead and set up a Sunday evening event and invite everyone who sounds like they might could do that time. If we need to shift the time, we’ll wiggle, and anybody who still might be interested is welcome to sign up so long as we don’t go over five players.
