This is a new Archetype that I made, although I’m not sure how good it is. It’s based around a golem/Frankenstein’s monster-type character, with a dash of Onyx Path’s Promethean: the Created. Tell me what you think of it.

  1. I like the concept. You may be able to get a couple ideas from Monster of the Week – I think it is the Constructed.

The Corruption move seems a bit narrow, but that could just be based on my past game experience. Golems are usually created with a “don’t harm X” or “protect X” directive, perhaps that is a faction that they take corruption if they harm them, or a faction that they must protect.

  2. Mechanics feedback:

Malleable Flesh: This doesn’t seem like a very Blood effect. It seems either more Spirit (using your powers) or Heart (Trick/mislead). So it is an odd fit.

On Terrible Countenance: never make the target roll something because many times the target isn’t a PC therefore doesn’t have a Heart to roll. Second, the effect is more like keeping cool so should have been Spirit.

Catalytic Connection: make it clear whether this stacks with Constructed Body. IE: if I’m a clay golem animated by fire, can I heal 2 wounds with some clay and another 2 from sitting in a fireplace in the same day, or am I limited to 2 health per day from any combination of those two sources?

    Corruption moves:

Alembic: Does this work for only you, only others, or everyone?

Impenetrable Flesh: 2 armor is a ton and the corruption clause will almost never come up (because you have 2 armor, you’ll almost never reach the “almost lethal” part). I recommend the simplifying change: “Mark corruption to have 2 armor for the scene” or possibly even “Mark corruption to reduce harm you are taking by 2” (it’s like armor, but paying each time you are hit)

  3. I think is too centred on combat, and it’s trah the really strong of the charachter.

Like a pinoccio o Frankenstein’s Creature, it’s a “wanna be human”, ant the persecuttions of this passion would be a strong pillar of the Pj
