For a long running campaign, the NPCs throw around complex magic and the players want in on the fun. I based the following additional Advanced Magic moves on Hex with a little influence from Dungeon World. We’re just trying them out, but I thought someone else might want to try them too.

  1. Andrea Parducci I did, but I haven’t used them yet. Our current campaign is more like Supernatural meets Devil May Cry meets Hellraiser. Or something. We’ve been using the Use Magic move pretty straight up.

    I’m pretty sure I will use the alternates though at some point. Somehow Monster of the Week has become my goto Apocalypse World style game.
