How well does Session Intro line up with a session for you guys?

How well does Session Intro line up with a session for you guys? I play shorter 2 hour sessions, so not everything gets resolved, and continuing to pile on is probably not a good idea.

I love the move, though, I love the authorship part of it. How do you all play it? Have any specific problems with it you solved?

  1. I don’t use it all sessions. Only when the last one finished at all.

But if we leave the session in a cliffhanger I don’t bring in more complications.

Sometimes I’ve even used the move midsession ^_^. Because it was the time when it makes sense to use it 😛

  2. I really like the “existing conflict” part enough that it could apply quite well mid session. I’m considering a custom Faction move that would be similar.

  3. The group I play in uses it roughly whenever we wrap up most of the current events from the last one and where there is a little gap in in-game time. This is less often than once per session, but seems to work fine. It’s also not that unusual for something our “session info” roll to not come up until the next session since we were already mid session when we did it.
