Mummy (collector)

Mysterious and highly intelligent.

Trades in treaties (he is big picture and trades hard to find items for safe travel through countries and safe harbour no questions asked.)

Think Malcone (Dresden files) and Nicodemus (Dresden files)

What I’m struggling with is do I make him a fighter or just a mastermind and have flunkies and priests be his muscle and magic?

Any suggestions or comments would be awesome.

  1. Here’s the larger question- how long do you want his shadow to be? Making him a fighter with minimal support makes him largely self-reliant, and a shorter mystery. If he’s a mastermind then you should consider the layers of his organization. Thus a deeper mystery.

And his counter moves to player misses and partials should reflect his role. Mastermind had traps & minions, fight guy has curses

  2. After writing up the mummy Character for a week I last minute made him a minor character. He was to deliver a chest to the PCs and fight them for an extra artifact but instead had one of his priests back stab him and steal the chest and artifact. Inside the chest I placed the spores from the book and made them a mind controlled spore infection. Think the last of us, the spored humans have three stages of infection. I will update once the PCs have encountered all 3 stages and results.
