  1. The Sprawl and Headspace both have espionage in their DNA, being cyberpunk games about operators going after corporations and all. But, obviously, they’re cyberpunk and not modern day espionage. Earlier this year a PbtA hack of Night’s Black Agents was made — not a super deep hack, mind you, but deep enough to cover the basic gameplay of NBA in a PbtA style. NBA is technically about spies vs vampires, but there is nothing forcing you to put vampires on the other end of the equation. I would go with that, personally.

  2. There was a spy heist sort of game called Enemy Action I remember really enjoying, but I can’t find a link now. Will edit if I find it somewhere!

  3. I haven’t done anything to make this a reality beyond speculate about it, but I’m convinced that Paul Riddle’s vampire game Undying would make an excellent basis for an espionage hack, especially for a game in the style of John le Carré’s Smiley vs. Karla novels.
