  1. In the Waters of Gaia PBP we had a player using Conspire to make a deal with the bad guys, exposing a weakness on an allied Faction base. He then offered support during the attack, secretly hiring mercenaries (Fog of War AND Subterfuge) and putting up an ambush on this spot.

He won on every side, and no one (but the bad guys) knew any better.

  2. Ah PBP…it just breeds inter-player conflict, doesn’t it? Douglas Santana any chance you could give me some more specific examples of what would constitute a ‘Facade’ in the context of this Move? I’m envisioning this move working like: My amazonian temple warriors family wants to strike a deal with the bio-mutants of the metal marshes to start raiding the lands of the Cultivators of the New Flesh. What I’m really angling for is that the Cultivators will seek the protection of my warriors against the bio-mutants, which will give me access to the food and medicine I so badly need, with the Cultivators thinking it was all their idea. In the above example, is there a Facade? If so, what is it?

On a related note, I really appreciate all this feedback to my barrage of questions – I’m working on putting together my first ever game of Legacy and all of these answers are extremely helpful!

  3. You know what? I blame Mega Projects, more than the PBP, for the competition and cloak & dagger!

Façade would be if you posed as a Faction, other Family, real or not.

No worries! Have a great game and let us know of the results!
