Catherine Ramen, for some reason I was unable to reach you privately through G+, so I’m posting my latest edits to your Man v2 playbook here, to facilitate finding it. If you have a more recent version of yours please share!

  1. Aaron Griffin, actually it does. 1) Master of the Hearth is harsher as compared to Cat’s original (since it makes all family members endure grave harm, instead of just one, if the Man cant supply food by the winter). 2) Man’s Work is simplified. And 3) I took out Cat’s Patriarch as I thought it too similar to some of Woman and Matriarch moves. Other than that I 4) added a bunch of new Obligations and Improvements, together with a short paragraph for explaining things a bit.

Consider it more of an experiment though. My intention was to provide Catherine Ramen with ideas than to create a final version of the playbook. I will have a chance to put some of these to test next month, to see how it goes. If you have any inputs or suggestions, I’m all ears. 😉

  2. The move was actually the most important for setting up the whole situation that session. With a failure, The Man was unable to keep his roof in repair, leaving a glaring hole in the top of the chilly longhouse. This was compounded by the arrival of a powerful gothi from across the fjord along with The Man’s betrothed. To be met with the house in such disrepair!

  3. Hey, Vini, I did see your post before but I am a social media hermit at the best of times 🙂 I like a lot of what you did to darken the Obligations. I still want something like Patriarch there, although I agree with your comments about it. But very impressive!

And Aaron, glad to hear it worked so well! Most of the feedback I’ve gotten has been positive and extremely gratifying 🙂
