Does anyone have tips for/comments on running WiP at galaxy scale? One player wanted supers, one wanted space/western. We decided to model it on guardians of the galaxy and firefly. I saw that some stuff directly references NY, but in general the setting is flexible(the name referencing worlds gave me hope that this shouldn’t be a problem). I’m slightly concerned about bonds beyond the team itself, given the amount of time spent with only the team on a ship, at least as shown in our chosen models. Any particular pros/cons that jump out at any of you regarding running this game in WiP?

  1. I’ve done this. The biggest thing to worry about as a gm is as usual, creating the world together and making it all feel cohesive. There’s lots of sci-fi games out there with tools for that if you need them. On the Bonds thing, it did become interesting in our game with the players heavily “attaching” themselves to NPCs by convincing them to come along on their ship. Other than that, some moves and in particular drive books might need some editing if you want to use them. On the whole i’d say it’s very doable with possibly some slight modifications, and it was one of the campaigns i had a lot of fun with the past year.
